Dan-

I sent a PM on the rocketry forum center in response to the parachute sale.
After you read that reply, please email me a paypal invoice to my email account (specified in PM).

Re: minimal supportive ematch hardware for chute deployment

Hi Dan, I appreciate your response. The Adept products are very good (Tommy does a great job) -they are molex devices. The required tool & connectors are not inexpensive. The JSTs on railbutton.com are only $1.00 per pair. After several testing events, if attached as pictured in the initial post...

Re: minimal supportive ematch hardware for chute deployment

Addendum: The use of the female JST has worked well through multiple ground testing events. The use of 3M high temp Flu tape (viable to 600 degrees F) wrapped around the juncture of the JST & ematch and also to cover the drilled holes in the bulkhead have worked well with no deterioration from t...

minimal supportive ematch hardware for chute deployment

Hi, I have always wanted to minimize the size of the hardware required for ematch support, especially on 38 mm to 2.56 inch diameter e-bays. I have "played" with several approaches including terminal blocks and the direct connection of the ematch (through the bulkhead) to the altimeter. I ...

Re: Informational - LiPo Batteries

Dan,

Thanks for the informative thread. Which Lipo charger are you using for the Lipo's described?

Thanks,
Fred

Re: 3.72" Proteus Downscale

Hi Dan,

I'm thoroughly enjoying your build thread. I'm curious, why did you decide not to extend the fin slots fully aft which would have been an easier path? The only recommendation is to "speed up" your posting of progression in your build (LOL)!

Fred

Re: 2.6" Bluetube DarkStar

Looks great, excellent external fin fillets. You may induce me to buy the current "special" 2.6 available with a 54mm motor mount.
Thanks for uploading those pics.

Fred

Re: Optima Upgrades

Great pictures of Optima in flight. I agree with Dan-relying on motor delay alone can be perilous. I've seen several launches end badly due to mistaken delay calculations. I'm currently (and very slowly) building a 54 mm rocket (with 38 mm motor mount) and I plan to incorporate the "tender desc...
