Re: Christmas rocketry wish list

I've gotten better. The last tree that ate a rocket I just kinda tripped and fell into it with a running chainsaw. weirdest thing. It's a good thing that you had the chainsaw to keep you from hitting the tree. Safety first.... LOL Oh yeah, my wife got me an Estes Partizon for Christmas. Whoop whoop...

Re: Christmas rocketry wish list

I bought my son an Estes Baby Bertha kit. It's a skill level 1 and I feel it will be a good kit for him to try to build, with my guidance and assistance.

Interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out. It hasn't quite been a year yet since I did the balsa cone. Ma...

My method of balsa nose cone finishing

On my last rocket build, I had to do finishing on a balsa nose cone. The method I used was quite simple. I lightly sanded the surface, and then applied a thin layer of lightweight spackle. Re: Best glue / epoxy for rockets

Gorilla makes a brand of wood glue that I have used a few times without issue. I would compare it to the Titebond II. Do you have a particular brand of Epoxy that you prefer, or are they all about the same (except 5 min)?
