2.6" screech 54mm booster

Postby DBMcCann » Fri Dec 25, 2015 10:25 pm

So, madcow lets you order just the booster for the 2.6" kits. lists as 38mm, but a quick email confirmed they'd do them in 54mm as well.

My love for my 38mm screech is the worst kept secret in the world....so here we go again :)
The longer motor mount is pretty slick, as are the tiny CR's. Love all if this.

I haven't decided if I'm going to install a kevlar harness, or just attach to the motor bulkhead.

I'm not sure how I want to change the paint...but I'd like to subtly indicate a difference in the boosters. maybe a stripe on a fin or something...

Nice!!!

Maybe you can invert the colors? I had a feeling you would wind up with a 54mm booster!

:) I couldn't resist. The odd thing is I don't actually have a specific motor in mind, and the performance of the 54/1200's doesn't touch the 38/1200's. 54/1600 should be interesting...and 54/2000 will get around 13K or so.

Booster is 33", the aeropack will hang out the back about 3/4", and the avbay eats up 2.5", 3.5" with the current eye bolt.

so, 33.75" - (28.62+3.5) leaves 1.63" of space for harness.......herm...may have to use 1/4" kevlar and pack it on the sides of the motor with the 2800 case.... Going to need to get creative.

Now that's win. I could even repaint the band green if pressed. I like that.
