Painkiller 3 (modified)

Postby DBMcCann » Sun Nov 29, 2015 6:47 pm

So shortly after URRF2 I bought a PK3 and started building it. After I finished the booster, I stopped short of installing the fins. While I liked them at first sight, the unique design fell out of favor fast. So the project has sat for a year and a half. I just picked up a 3/32" sheet of canvas....so, game on.

When I started this I was in the habit of working on around 3-4 rockets at a time -

What fin profile do you have in mind for the canvas?

I drilled holes for #8 screws. This was a test for my Tomach. I've never countersunk screws for a payload before. Seems to have worked. I drilled one hole, slid a screw in and taped it in place. repeated 3 times. Then I pulled them and countersunk it one by one.
